I am an educator at heart and am a perpetual student. I strive to always ensure that my focus remains on educating my clients so they feel empowered to make the best decisions they can for themselves.
How I did it
Most of us remember the crash of 2008, and if its fallout didn’t impact you directly, you likely know someone it did. I purchased my first home in 2005. By late 2008 my home was worth half of what I purchased it for. Predatory lending was a huge factor in my crash experience. And I knew then and there that I wanted to ensure people buying and selling homes feel fully knowledgable with what they’re getting themselves into.
It took awhile to take action on becoming licensed, but from 2008 until 2019 I managed renters for the same home I purchased in 2005. It couldn’t be sold as we were way under water on it. So I then learned what it was like to go through several renters over the course of a decade. I dove into property management, contracts, laws, and starting noticing a spark. It was stressful, yes, but it was also thrilling. Once my kids were at an age that I felt comfortable going back to work, I got licensed. I hammered out the education and testing in a matter of a couple months and was well on my way.
Since 2017 I have been serving people in the Portland Metro area and Yamhill County (otherwise known as Wine Country). I am a native to Oregon and have spent the better part of a decade living and working in Yamhill County (which means being very knowledgable with land and property purchases) and am excited to be living in Portland where I serve so many amazing clients from all walks of life. Being part of the LGBTQIA+ and Vegan communities, I take great pride in helping my fellow community members fulfill their dreams in homeownership.
